Travellers under 18 must carry a notarised letter of parental consent when travelling to Tanzania.
Obtain a physical visa before you travel by applying online, at an embassy or consulate, or you may obtain one on arrival at the airport. Ensure your ordinary Hungarian passport is valid for at least six months beyond your planned date of entry. Buy travel insurance from a supplier in Tanzania prior to entry, as travel insurance is a condition of entry.
No vaccination is mandatory for entry. Yellow fever vaccination is recommended; official guidance also names cholera among recommended vaccinations. Carry your passport as the accepted travel document. Because Tanzania does not maintain an embassy in Hungary, use the Tanzanian embassy in Kenya for any consular or in-person visa needs.
Arrival registration at the border is required. Present your passport and the physical visa when asked by border officials. Have your notarised letter of parental consent ready if you are travelling and are under 18.
