How long can I stay, and can I extend it?
Romanian citizens may stay in Mexico for up to 180 days without a visa. Stays beyond 180 days require a visa.

If you are under 18, you must carry a notarised letter of parental consent to travel to Mexico.
What should I do before I travel?
Before you travel, make sure your Romanian passport or temporary passport is valid for at least six months beyond your planned date of entry to Mexico.
Arrange travel insurance before departure: travel insurance is a condition of entry to Mexico.
Consider obtaining the recommended vaccinations before travel: tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis (Tdap), polio, typhoid, hepatitis A and hepatitis B. No vaccinations are mandatory.
What happens at the border?
You must complete arrival registration using the Forma Migratoria Múltiple (FMM). The FMM registration can be done online, on arrival at the airport, or at a land border point of entry.
At the border you may be asked to show your passport (or temporary passport) and proof of sufficient funds for your stay. Travel insurance must be held as it is a condition of entry.
