Poland to Mauritius

A biometric passport or a temporary passport is accepted for entry. A national identity card and a driving licence are not accepted as travel documents for entry to Mauritius.

Mauritian authorities may ask you to show proof of sufficient funds for your stay; the official guidance on this route cites roughly USD 100 per day as the reference amount.

Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of entry. The official requirement is stated against the planned date of departure, so ensure your passport meets the six‑month validity when you arrive.

Arrival registration is required and completed through Mauritius’s official entry‑registration portal. The process is done online and also involves formalities on arrival at the airport via the official portal.

You do not need any extra documents for travellers under 18 beyond the accepted travel documents (passport or temporary passport); no parental-consent letters or notarised permissions are required for minors on this route.

If you begin travel from or have recently been in yellow‑fever endemic areas, Mauritian rules require proof of yellow fever vaccination. Otherwise no vaccinations are listed as required or recommended for this route.

You will board and enter without a visa or travel authorisation; there is nowhere to apply for a visa before travel because no visa or ETA is required for Polish tourists staying up to 90 days.

You must hold a confirmed onward or return ticket and a confirmed booking for your accommodation; Mauritian entry guidance lists a return ticket and confirmed accommodation reservation among the entry conditions for visa‑exempt arrivals.

If you lose a biometric passport while in Mauritius, departure may be possible on an Emergency Travel Document issued by an EU country with a mission in Port Louis; consular assistance for Polish citizens is coordinated via the Polish consul in Nairobi in such cases.

Mauritius has no Polish embassy. For consular assistance Polish citizens may rely on EU embassies present in Mauritius or contact the Polish consul in Nairobi as indicated in official guidance.

Mauritian rules include a temporary ban on entry for travellers who have transited through or been in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda or South Sudan within the preceding 21 days; check the official entry notes if your itinerary included those countries.

On arrival you may be questioned about the purpose and length of your stay and asked to show insurance, a return ticket, accommodation booking and sufficient funds; carry printed or easily accessible electronic copies of these documents to show at check‑in or border control.
